Ed.<\/em>).<\/p>\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11485\" src=\"http:\/\/xislblogs.xtreamlab.net\/slwoods\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/sites\/23\/2022\/08\/600px_globe.jpg\" alt=\"Globe artwork at Peel Street\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.slwoods.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/sites\/23\/2022\/08\/600px_globe.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.slwoods.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/sites\/23\/2022\/08\/600px_globe-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>Its arrival seems to have pre-empted the Bristol Post, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/whats-on\/whats-on-news\/art-trail-exploring-impact-slave-7453860\">today wrote<\/a>:<\/p>\r\n<blockquote>A new public art trail reflecting on colonial histories and the impact of the slave trade is coming to Bristol.<br \/>More than 100 artist-designed globe sculptures will appear in seven cities across the UK from Saturday and will be free to view by the public until October 31.<\/blockquote>\r\n<p>The project, which is organised by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theworldreimagined.org\/\">The World Reimagined<\/a>, aims to explore the UK\u2019s relationship with the Transatlantic slave trade, its impact on society and how action can be taken to make racial justice a reality. The designs of the globes produced by the commissioned artists explore themes such as the culture of Africa before the slave trade and an ode to the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Windrush_scandal\">Windrush generation<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<p>The World Reimagined has sited 103 unique Globes across the 10 trails in 7 host cities across the UK &#8211; Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, London and Swansea.
