{"id":11845,"date":"2022-10-16T19:05:10","date_gmt":"2022-10-16T19:05:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/xislblogs.xtreamlab.net\/slwoods\/?p=11845"},"modified":"2022-10-16T19:09:45","modified_gmt":"2022-10-16T19:09:45","slug":"shropshire-star-exclusive-clun-migrates-50-km","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.slwoods.co.uk\/?p=11845","title":{"rendered":"Shropshire Star exclusive: Clun migrates 50 km"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Clun\">Clun<\/a> in the far south-west of Shropshire is quite a sleepy place with romantic castle ruins, some fine real ale pubs, a wonderful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yha.org.uk\/hostel\/yha-clun-mill\">youth hostel<\/a> in a former water mill and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationaltrail.co.uk\/en_GB\/trails\/offas-dyke-path\/\">Offa&#8217;s Dyke Path<\/a> within staggering distance.<\/p>\r\n<p>It is a world away from <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Telford\">Telford<\/a>, the largest urban area within the ceremonial county with a population of 185,600.<\/p>\r\n<p>Nevertheless, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shropshirestar.com\/news\/local-hubs\/telford\/2022\/10\/14\/bridge-repairs-closes-road-at-clun\/\">Friday&#8217;s Shropshire Star reported<\/a> that due to dodgy website tagging and editing, Clun has moved 50km (<em>that&#8217;s 30 miles in old money.
