Ed.<\/em>), to <em>acquire<\/em> the autonomous Danish territory of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Greenland\">Greenland<\/a> on spurious <em>national security<\/em> grounds.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>A wave of protest in Denmark gave rise to a Facebook group &#8220;<em>Boycott goods from the USA<\/em>&#8220;, in which some 100,000 Danes exchange ideas about how best to avoid American products. Get the answer in seconds<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n\r\n<br \/>\r\n\r\n<p>According to the app store blurb:<\/p>\r\n\r\n<blockquote>UdenUSA helps you identify and avoid American products in your everyday life. With our intuitive scanning function, you can easily check whether a product is American-owned and find Danish alternatives.<\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n<p>Furthermore, app developer Pipper told the DPA press agency: &#8220;<em>We noticed that it was important for many people to avoid food from the USA. But it\u2019s not always so easy to recognise them in the supermarket.<\/em>&#8220;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The app is provided in two versions &#8211; a free version which allows users to scan 2-5 products per day and a subscription version for bulk purchases, which costs DKr. 19.00 per month.<\/p> \r\n\r\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/udenusa.dk\/\">developer&#8217;s website<\/a> also pointedly asks visitors &#8216;<em>Are you supporting Trump when you shop?<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/world\/europe\/2026\/01\/21\/danish-app-urging-shoppers-to-boycott-us-goods-surges-in-popularity\/\">Irish Times also points out<\/a> that the app is not without a few geeky touches.
