{"id":16409,"date":"2026-01-25T13:33:20","date_gmt":"2026-01-25T13:33:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/xislblogs.xtreamlab.net\/slwoods\/?p=16409"},"modified":"2026-01-25T13:52:22","modified_gmt":"2026-01-25T13:52:22","slug":"reform-candidate-emulates-trump","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.slwoods.co.uk\/?p=16409","title":{"rendered":"Reform candidate emulates tRump"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n\r\n<p>On Terry Pratchett&#8217;s fictional Discworld, Ankh Morpork local newspaper publisher William de Worde remarks: &#8220;<em>Lies could run round the world before the truth could get its boots on<\/em>&#8221; in the novel <a href=\"https:\/\/discworld.fandom.com\/wiki\/The_Truth\"><em>The Truth<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>That turn of speed definitely applies today to internet memes, whether AI-generated <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/AI_slop\"><em>slop<\/em><\/a> or otherwise.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>It hasn&#8217;t taken long for the Farage fascist fan club otherwise known as Reform UK (Ltd.) to pick up on some of the latest garbage emanating from the White House (<em>posts passim)<\/em> and adapt it for their own Z-list candidate for mayor, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Laila_Cunningham\">Laila Cunningham<\/a>, another Conservative Party defector who, amongst other things, want to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/politics\/2026\/jan\/16\/reform-uk-london-mayor-candidate-laila-cunningham-burqa-stop-and-search\">dictate what women choose to wear<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<figure id=\"attachment_16428\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-16428\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/xislblogs.xtreamlab.net\/slwoods\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/sites\/23\/2026\/01\/cunninham.png\" alt=\"Reform UK reworking of White House AI, but featuring mayoral candidate Laila Cunningham in place of the alleged president and a bloody butcher&#039;s apron instead of the stars and stripes.
