{"id":2133,"date":"2013-06-24T13:29:10","date_gmt":"2013-06-24T13:29:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/xislblogs.xtreamlab.net\/slwoods\/?p=2133"},"modified":"2013-06-24T13:29:10","modified_gmt":"2013-06-24T13:29:10","slug":"libreoffice-4-1-rc1-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.slwoods.co.uk\/?p=2133","title":{"rendered":"LibreOffice 4.1 RC1 released"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.slwoods.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2012\/11\/ODF_textdocument_48x48.png\" alt=\"ODF file icon\" width=\"48\" height=\"48\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-689\" \/>The first release candidate for LibreOffice 4.1, the free and open source office productivity suite, has been released, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.h-online.com\/open\/news\/item\/LibreOffice-4-1-s-first-release-candidate-arrives-1895243.html\">according to The H Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>LibreOffice&#8217;s developers have released the RC1 version with <a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.documentfoundation.org\/Releases\/4.1.0\/RC1\">release notes<\/a> listing 61 bugs that have been fixed since the version&#8217;s Beta 2 publication a fortnight ago.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first of 3 release candidates scheduled between now and 22 July when the final release of LibreOffice 4.1 should take place. <\/p>\n<p>Due to the integration of <a href=\"http:\/\/sourceforge.net\/p\/libmwaw\/wiki\/Home\/\">libmwaw<\/a>, LibreOffice 4.1 will also be able to handle legacy Mac formats from pre-Mac OS X applications such as Microsoft Word for Mac 5.1, Write Now 4.0, MacWrite Pro 1.5 and AppleWorks 6.0.<\/p>\n<p>LibreOffice 4.1.0 RC1 is available from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.libreoffice.org\/download\/pre-releases\/\">LibreOffice pre-releases downloads page<\/a>.
