{"id":2719,"date":"2013-09-15T12:25:55","date_gmt":"2013-09-15T12:25:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/xislblogs.xtreamlab.net\/slwoods\/?p=2719"},"modified":"2013-12-16T01:03:58","modified_gmt":"2013-12-16T01:03:58","slug":"know-your-place-now-better","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.slwoods.co.uk\/?p=2719","title":{"rendered":"Know Your Place now better"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/maps.bristol.gov.uk\/knowyourplace\/\">Know Your Place<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bristol.gov.uk\/\">Bristol City Council<\/a>&#8216;s historical mapping service that allows you to explore the city through historic maps, images and linked information, has been featured before on this blog before (<em><a href=\"http:\/\/xislblogs.xtreamlab.net\/slwoods\/?p=1891\" title=\"Know Your Place\">posts passim<\/a><\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Earlier today Pete Insole, archaeologist for Bristol City Council, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Locallearning\/status\/379189620602175488\">announced via Twitter<\/a> that Know Your Place has now been augmented by the addition to the Hartley Collection layer of original architects&#8217; drawings for the reconstruction of Bristol after World War 2. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bristol_Blitz\">Bristol was the fifth most heavily bombed British city<\/a> of World War 2.
