It&#8217;s a tool intended for professional translators.<\/p>\n<p>OmegaT has the following features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fuzzy matching<\/li>\n<li>Match propagation<\/li>\n<li>Simultaneous processing of multiple-file projects<\/li>\n<li>Simultaneous use of multiple translation memories<\/li>\n<li>User glossaries with recognition of inflected forms<\/li>\n<li>Document file formats include:<br \/>Open Document Format (the native format of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.libreoffice.org\/\">LibreOffice<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.openoffice.org\/\">OpenOffice<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.calligra-suite.org\/\">Calligra<\/a> office suites)<br \/>\nMicrosoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx)<br \/><abbr title=\"Extensible HyperText Markup Language\">XHTML<\/abbr> and <abbr title=\"HyperText Markup Language\">HTML<\/abbr><br \/>MediaWiki (Wikipedia)<br \/>Plain text<br \/>&#8230;plus about 30 other file formats<\/li>\n<li>Unicode (UTF-8) support: can be used with non-Latin alphabets<\/li>\n<li>Support for right-to-left languages<\/li>\n<li>Integral spelling checker<\/li>\n<li>Compatible with other translation memory applications (TMX, TTX, TXML, XLIFF, SDLXLIFF)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OmegaT is cross-platform: it will run on any system on which the JRE (Java Runtime Environment) has been or can be installed.<\/p>\n<p>Over on YouTube, user weasel75 has produced a short (10 minutes) tutorial on the basics of OmegaT.
