{"id":4929,"date":"2014-10-14T06:39:44","date_gmt":"2014-10-14T06:39:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/xislblogs.xtreamlab.net\/slwoods\/?p=4929"},"modified":"2014-10-14T06:44:09","modified_gmt":"2014-10-14T06:44:09","slug":"swiss-raise-funds-for-libreoffice-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.slwoods.co.uk\/?p=4929","title":{"rendered":"Swiss raise funds for LibreOffice development"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.slwoods.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2014\/10\/wilhelm_tux.gif\" alt=\"Wilhelm Tux logo\" width=\"120\" height=\"132\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-4930\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/wilhelmtux.ch\">Wilhelm Tux<\/a>, a Swiss organisation promoting the use of free software, has launched a fundraising <a href=\"http:\/\/wilhelmtux.ch\/?MID=11&amp;PID=92\">campaign<\/a> to improve <a href=\"http:\/\/www.libreoffice.org\/\">LibreOffice<\/a>, with the target of raising &euro;8,000 to implement the signing of <abbr title=\"Portable Document Format\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Portable_Document_Format\">PDF<\/a><\/abbr> documents in LibreOffice, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.heise.de\/open\/meldung\/Fundraising-fuer-LibreOffice-2419962.html\">German IT news site heise reported<\/a> yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>LibreOffice can already digitally sign <a href=\"http:\/\/www.opendocumentformat.org\/aboutODF\/\"><abbr title=\"Open Document Format\">ODF<\/abbr><\/a> files, its native file format.
