Yet some of the companies taking over have a dismal performance record, while others have avoided tax, given suspiciously large political donations or even helped to write the policies from which they will profit.<\/p>\n<p>False Economy&#8217;s shortlist currently comprises 10 outsourcing firms:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A4e<\/li>\n<li>Atos<\/li>\n<li>Capita Translation and Interpreting (<em><a href=\"http:\/\/xislblogs.xtreamlab.net\/slwoods\/?p=406\" title=\"Interpreting: courting disaster\">posts passim<\/a><\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>Care UK<\/li>\n<li>Circle<\/li>\n<li>FirstGroup<\/li>\n<li>G4S<\/li>\n<li>McKinsey &amp; Company<\/li>\n<li>Serco<\/li>\n<li>Virgin Care<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>False Economy gives a brief summary of the finer points of the rip-offs practised by all of the above.<\/p>\n<p>These people are doing a poor job and trousering huge amounts of taxpayers&#8217; money for the privilege.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s high time they were stopped from doing so.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/falseeconomy.org.uk\/blog\/fishiest-outsourcing-firms-the-ones-that-got-away\">If you think that False Economy has missed any company out, you can always remedy that omission<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Hat tip: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dutchinterpreter.com\/\">Madeleine Lee<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over at False Economy, the anti-public spending cuts website, you can now cast your vote for the UK&#8217;s fishiest outsourcing firm.
