{"id":6191,"date":"2015-06-16T10:58:02","date_gmt":"2015-06-16T10:58:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/xislblogs.xtreamlab.net\/slwoods\/?p=6191"},"modified":"2015-06-16T11:12:29","modified_gmt":"2015-06-16T11:12:29","slug":"libreoffice-2015-conference-call-for-papers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.slwoods.co.uk\/?p=6191","title":{"rendered":"LibreOffice 2015 Conference &#8211; call for papers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The call for papers for this year&#8217;s LibreOffice Conference has today been <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LOfCollabora\/status\/610741957212663808\">announced on Twitter<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/libreoffice-from-collabora.com\/\">Collabara&#8217;s LibreOffice team<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.slwoods.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2015\/06\/libo_con_2015_aarhus.png\" alt=\"LibreOffice Conference 2015 logo\" width=\"393\" height=\"88\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6192\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.slwoods.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/sites\/23\/2015\/06\/libo_con_2015_aarhus.png 393w, https:\/\/www.slwoods.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/sites\/23\/2015\/06\/libo_con_2015_aarhus-300x67.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 393px) 100vw, 393px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Proposals should be submitted by <strong>15th July 2015<\/strong> in order to guarantee that they will be considered for inclusion in the conference programme.<\/p>\n<p>The conference programme will be based on the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Development, APIs, Extensions, Future Technology;<\/li>\n<li>Quality Assurance;<\/li>\n<li>Localisation, Documentation and Native Language Projects;<\/li>\n<li>Appealing Libreoffice: Ease of Use, Design and Accessibility;<\/li>\n<li>Enterprise and Public Sector Deployments and Migrations, Certifications and Best Practices;<\/li>\n<li>Open Document Format, Document Liberation and Interoperability; and<\/li>\n<li>Building a successful business around LibreOffice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.slwoods.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2015\/06\/Montage_of_Aarhus.jpg\" alt=\"Aarhus montage\" width=\"180\" height=\"240\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-6194\" \/>This year&#8217;s event will be held in <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Aarhus\">Aarhus<\/a>, Denmark&#8217;s second city, from 23rd to 25th September inclusive.<\/p>\n<h3>Venue<\/h3>\n<p>The venue will be a completely new venue on the harbour in Aarhus called &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbanmediaspace.dk\/en\/dokk1\">Dokk1 &#8211; Urban Media Space Aarhus<\/a>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>Urban Media Space is described as &#8220;<em>a flexible and dynamic sanctuary for everyone in search of knowledge, inspiration and personal development &#8211; an open and accessible learning environment supporting democracy and community and is also going to be an example of the library of the future<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h3>Conference communication channels<\/h3>\n<p>The official communication channel during the conference will be the conference mailing list, conference@global.libreoffice.org.
