{"id":6995,"date":"2016-02-27T15:01:05","date_gmt":"2016-02-27T15:01:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/xislblogs.xtreamlab.net\/slwoods\/?p=6995"},"modified":"2016-02-28T08:14:52","modified_gmt":"2016-02-28T08:14:52","slug":"another-missing-court-interpreter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.slwoods.co.uk\/?p=6995","title":{"rendered":"Another missing court interpreter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Court cases around the country are still being delayed for want of interpreters who are supposed to be supplied by arch outsourcers Capita.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stokesentinel.co.uk\/s-court-Latest-cases-North-Staffordshire-Saturday\/story-28819581-detail\/story.html\">Today&#8217;s Sentinel reports<\/a> on a case that was adjourned yesterday at <a href=\"https:\/\/courttribunalfinder.service.gov.uk\/courts\/north-staffordshire-justice-centre\">North Staffordshire Justice Centre<\/a> in Newcastle-under-Lyme.<\/p>\n<p>Maris Dombovskis of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Longton,_Staffordshire\">Longton<\/a> is charged with failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis, driving without insurance and without a licence on January 19.<\/p>\n<p>District Judge Jack McGarva adjourned the case until February 29 to arrange for an interpreter.<\/p>\n<p>This was the second time last week that a court case at this court complex had to be adjourned for lack of an interpreter.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday 23rd February magistrates adjourned the case of a Polish resident of Smallthorne charged with assault for 3 days to arrange for an interpreter, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stokesentinel.co.uk\/s-court-Latest-cases-North-Staffordshire\/story-28789090-detail\/story.html\">The Sentinel also reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Court cases around the country are still being delayed for want of interpreters who are supposed to be supplied by arch outsourcers Capita.
