Having said that, it&#8217;s really easy to close the &#8216;wrong&#8217; tab &#8211; one you haven&#8217;t quite finished with &#8211; by mistake.<\/p>\n<p>Now courtesy of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.itdonut.co.uk\/blog\/2012\/11\/totw-how-reopen-website-you-closed-mistake\">ITDonut&#8217;s tip of the week<\/a>, comes a really useful little bit of knowledge: how to reopen a browser tab you&#8217;ve just closed.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mozilla.org\">Firefox<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.co.uk\/chrome\">Chrome<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chromium.org\/Home\">Chromium<\/a>, just use the following keystroke combination: <strong>CTRL + SHIFT + T<\/strong>*.<\/p>\n<p>This works on both Linux and Windows machines; and on the latter the same keystroke combination also works with IE.<\/p>\n<p><em>* = On a Mac the equivalent combination is <strong>COMMAND + SHIFT + T<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you browse the web like I do, this means you&#8217;ll frequently have several tabs open in your web browser.
